Our History

Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (MACCII) was established in 1964 by Abelardo G. Tinio. The following presidents succeeded the leadership of Mr. Tinio:

Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce Founder
Mr. Abelardo G. Tinio

Fifty-eight years old now and recognized as one of the respected leading business organization in the Metro Angeles. It also covers the municipalities of Mabalacat, Magalang and Porac and parts of the City of San Fernando. MACCII was awarded as most outstanding chamber of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PCCI) for North Luzon in 1993, 1997, 2006 and 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015. Also awarded as the Most Outstanding Chamber in the Philippines in 2015. In 2008, MACCII bagged a special citation also from the PCCI for its environmental advocacies In addition, the chamber successfully hosted the 17thNorth Luzon Area Business Conference, an annual gathering attended by at least 500 business and government leaders not only from North Luzon (Regions I,II and III, and the Cordillera Administrative Region), but from all over the country.

MACCII is also recognized as one of the first Local Chamber members of PCCI. Its application for membership was approved during the PCCI Board of Directors Meeting on January 26, 1980 in Tagaytay City.

The Chamber is run by its members through the elected 15 directors who come various sectoral groups in the Metro Angeles area. Their day-to-day activity is handled by full time secretariat. MACCII has an established Secretariat with office at Ground floor, Angeles Business Center, Nepo Center, Angeles City, Philippines.

The Chamber’s main sources of income are annual dues from members, local and international grants, sponsorships and supplemental income generating activities and projects.

Like other Chambers of Commerce and Industry, MACCII is a voluntary partnership of businessmen and professional people working together to build a healthy economy and ultimately improve the quality of life in the different communities of Metro Angeles, thus making them better places to live and work in.

As embodied in MACCII’s articles incorporation, any business, industrial or professional leader of known honesty and integrity, and good business or any individual, corporation, partnership or associate residing or with domicile, or has established business or professional practices in the province of Metro Angeles may apply for and become a regular member of the chamber.
